Wrestling world loses three former stars

The wrestling world has been thrown into a state of mourning following the death of three former stars, Brian Lawler, Nikolai Volkoff and Brickhouse Brown, who all died the same day.

Brian Lawler, Nikolai Volkoff and Brickhouse Brown aged 46, 70 and 57 respectively all passed away on Sunday.

Lawler, popularly known as Grandmaster Sexay first attempted to commit suicide on Saturday night by hanging himself in a jail cell in  Tennessee where he was being held for DUI (driving under the influence) and evading arrest charges. He was however discovered and rushed to the hospital but unfortunately died on Sunday, while Nikolai Volkoff, a Hall of Famer and Brickhouse Brown passed away on Sunday.

In a Facebook post, former wrestler Luke Graham, whose on-stage brother Eddie Graham was Brown's trainer confirmed Brown's death.

He wrote: "No false finishes... no more swerves... no more kickouts. After a hard fight... he has left us".

The WWE in a statement said it was "saddened" to hear Lawler and Volkoff had died, while the National Wrestling Alliance sent its "deepest condolences and sympathies".
